CalAcademy
CalAcademy is California’s public sector innovation training program, equipping state employees with modern skills like human-centered design, data analytics, and a product mindset to enhance government services.
Hosted by California’s Office of Data and Innovation (ODI), CalAcademy offers a series of self-paced courses and webinars, including human-centered design, plain language, product-oriented service, and data analytics, to help state staff embed equity and customer-focused approaches in their work.
The program partners with InnovateUS and CalHR to deliver certifications like the Innovation Skills Accelerator and Foundations of GenAI at no cost, aiming to build a sustainable culture of innovation with over 5,000 employees trained in its first year.
