Salary – $70,651.00 – $107,306.00 Annually

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
You will take an active role in developing and executing a detailed plan for the creation and promotion of engaging online content in the form of short- and long-term articles, social media posts, blogs, webpages, and similar media platforms. It brings new and innovative thinking about user experience and design along with an understanding of what is technically possible to maximize user engagement with commonwealth content. This position offers a variety of duties, some of which include:Â
- Oversees and optimizes marketing campaigns making daily adjustments to maximize results and ensure they align with strategic objectives. Provides optimization strategies and direction to improve the performance and impact of social media content.
- Develops relevant content and strategies that enhance reputation and creates meaningful connections with the commonwealth brand. Collaborates with stakeholders, influencers, and project/program teams to create engaging content and drive brand interest.
- Establishes customized and targeted marketing and public relations strategies and campaigns to attract new users while retaining current users; increases the visibility of the commonwealth’s programs, events, and initiatives.

- Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

- Two years as a Digital Director 1; or
- Six years of professional communications experience, including four years in digital communications, and a bachelor’s degree; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of experience leading content strategy for a consumer-facing company or government.
- Five years of experience working directly in CMS tools (examples include: WordPress, Sitecore, Magento).
- Three years of experience drafting technical documentation.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
